hello, could you tell me if it's allowed to use his own tent in the rjebok trail?thanks
Hi yoann1979 - apologies for the late reply - we were in South America for more than a month so I hope it's not too late. I'm not sure if there's any official rule regarding the use of a tent on Rhebok - you will have to pay for the full trail (which includes using the available overnight hut) anyway so unless you plan to sleep somewhere else, don't bother with the tent. However, there's not going to be anyone stopping you from carrying the tent and using it, especially south of the tar road going up towards Generaalskop - I've carried a tent up there several times and have slept on the saddle just below Generaalskop looking out towards Lesotho. Just keep in mind that the saddle there is usually quite dry in winter and you'll have to carry water from lower down in the valley. let me know if you need more info - I'd be happy to help.
