Monteseel Rescue Training Jan 2006

A trip down to Monteseel with Search & Rescue where we received training from renowned Welsh mountaineer and guide, John Evans.

Amphitheatre (Drakensberg) Jan 2006

Chris, Dominique, Karen and I planned to do a 6 day traverse from the Amphitheatre to Cathedral peak. Unfortunately my left foot packed up completely by the time we reached the top of Tugela falls and after some deliberation, I turned back. I walked down on my own and spent the night at the Sentinel car park. The next morning I caught a lift to the Drifter's Inn where Chris's car was parked and drove it down to Bergville where I spent three nights waiting for the others to complete the hike.
